Shem Creek cuts right through the heart of Mount Pleasant and is known mainly for the many waterfront bars and restaurants there. In addition to the restaurants, it’s an amazing place if you’re into the outdoors: there are plenty of options for fishing, boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

Parking at Shem Creek can be a little confusing. There are several restaurants and bars and each has their own ‘sections’ of parking lots. It’s very clearly marked which parking area is for which restaurants, so just pay attention to which area you park. It’s not uncommon for the parking lots to be full during busy times. If so, there is a parking garage where you can also park.
