Downtown Charleston

History, architecture, great food, and lots of charm.

About Charleston.

Downtown Charleston is packed with exceptional architecture, tons of history, fantastic restaurants, and so much more. This is the centerpiece of the amazing region. There’s always something to do here - from farmer’s markets to carriage tours to rooftop bars…Downtown Charleston has it all.

Travel.

From Sullivan’s Nest, Downtown Charleston is about a 6 mile drive (depending on exactly where you want to go). It’s a pretty straightforward drive up Coleman Boulevard and over the Ravenel Bridge. Depending on traffic, you can usually be Downtown in about 15 minutes.

Parking in Downtown Charleston is like it is in most cities and is not too complicated. If you are going to the King Street area, we recommend parking in a parking garage - there are plenty of them scattered around all of the popular restaurants and shops. Though there are off-street parking options available if you want to go that route.

If you are planning to celebrate or make it a late night, then we’d recommend a ride-share option like Uber or Lyft. The cost of a ride-share from Sullivan’s Nest varies on demand and the number of people, but you could probably expect it to be anywhere between $10-$20 each way.
